Is There Life Outside the Dance World?

People sometimes ask me if I do other things besides music and dance.   The answer is YES -- Environmental Education.

Currently, I work for the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service in Henderson County, as an Extension Agent for Natural Resources.   Specifically, I'm a watershed coordinator for a highly degraded stream called Mud Creek.  I do education and public outreach on stormwater management, water quality, Best Management Practices for urban and agricultural settings, GIS analysis, etc.  If you're interested, you can read all about it at the Mud Creek website.

I also serve on the Board of Directors of Environmental Eductors of North Carolina (EENC), and in an advisory capacity to the Environmental and Conservation Organization (ECO). You can find out all about these great organizations at their respective websites.

I also enjoy hiking, paddling, cycling, and other outdoor pursuits, occassional cooking, and I'm a closet fiddler (ok, I guess that's back to music and dance).
